2018 SPRING F&B and Events Internship- Bahama Bay By Wyndham Vacation Rentals

Do I have what it takes?
We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, customer service driven, college students, majoring in Food & Beverage, Events/Activities or Hospitality to join Bahama Bay by Wyndham Vacation Rentals for an exciting and educational summer internship! We will first consider seniors and then juniors, who are currently enrolled in a college or university hospitality program. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required and previous customer service experience is preferred. Additionally, you MUST be able to attain school credit for your time with us.
What will you be doing all Spring?
Students will be joining the F&B team to not only learn about key areas of the business but also gain hands on experience in the industry. Students will have the opportunity to offer innovative strategy improvement to our business as well as develop and coordinate events and activities to generate revenue and excitement with guests at our on site restaurant. Students will also have the opportunity throughout the summer to rotate and learn in other areas of our resort such as Guest Services, Housekeeping, etc.
Is this a paid internship?
YES. We pay $12.00/hr! This is a paid internship opportunity. The ability to work a flexible schedule is required. In the hospitality industry evening, weekend and holiday work is required. Any school coursework is expected to be completed on your own time.
Will Bahama Bay by Wyndham Vacation Rentals help to secure housing?
NO. This specific internship program requires students to be local to Orlando and surrounding areas. You are responsible for obtaining your own housing accommodations.
Will I need to provide my own transportation?
YES. Transportation to and from your assignment will be the responsibility of the student just like any other job.

Start date is January 8, 2018
End date is tentatively for April 27, 2018 but may extend if the student would like to continue.
Students are required to work +/- 40 hrs/wk and must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include: nights, weekends, holidays, overtime and on-call.
