Director of Financial Systems & Internal Reporting

Wyndham is currently seeking a Director of Financial Systems & Internal Reporting in Orlando, Florida.  The candidate will oversee Wyndham’s Corporate Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Consolidation Application and lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidation and reporting process.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Internal Reporting:
  • Communicate the deadlines and deliverables for the company’s monthly closing process
  • Review monthly financial statements and investment and equity section of the Balance Sheet
  • Review the work of the Internal Reporting Manager and resolve all divisional questions/issues
  • Maintain the Chart of Accounts
  • Work closely with the HFM Administrator to ensure we have the proper reports, to add new accounts and/or entities
  • Establish and monitor appropriate internal control procedures to ensure compliance with SOX 404
  • Work with the external auditors to explain material variances in the financial statements
  • Meet with Tax, External Reporting, Treasury and the External auditors (D&T) regarding package requirements and quarterly deliverable dates
  • Work with the Vice President to create quarterly and year-end deliverables calendar (internal calendar) 
  • Work with the Manager of Internal Reporting to prepare the cash flow and ad hoc reporting to support cash flow
  • Provide assistance to External Reporting Group on SEC filings, where applicable
Financial Systems:
  • Lead upgrades to new versions of Hyperion HFM product
  • Clean-up of HFM application.  Determine obsolete/unnecessary accounts, cost centers and entities.
  • Liaison between Finance and IT departments to coordinate hot fixes, patches and server maintenance
  • Maintain Hyperion accounts, cost centers, reports, entities and logic
  • Ensure SOX compliance in HFM application.  Prepare and perform SOX compliance testing
  • Business Unit Support
  • Update and distribute Monthly FX rates from Bloomberg
Qualifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting 
  • CPA 
  • Public Accounting experience preferred 
  • 8-10 years experience in Public and Private (Large Companies, preferably with International exposure) 
  • Consolidation experience 
  •  Technical accounting skills 
  • 2-3 years of experience working with HFM Application, including Metadata, Rules and Reports
  • Managerial, strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
