Director of Revenue - Wyndham Doha West Bay

Director of Revenue will be reporting directly to the General Manager with dotted line to the Regional Director of Revenue – Middle East and Africa and will be responsible for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to revenue maximization. He or She will have the opportunity to set strategic direction, determine pricing, create promotions, and explore new distribution opportunities.
Main Tasks
  • Responsible for the implementation of brand Revenue Management and pricing structure.
  • Responsible for having all the revenue management processes in place in his/her perimeter.
  • Implements the GM’s strategy on a daily basis, updates the planning, quotes the groups and alerts the General Manager, when market deviates from the strategy.
  • Supports the General Manager in the creation of the strategy and to work effectively with the implemented revenue management system. Furthermore, to implement the strategy, based on the daily recommendations in the distribution channels, as well as the daily check of the system recommendations for sense and provide complementary or revised proposals for optimization.
  • Responsible for the entire reservations team job performance including annual appraisals, career development, salary reviews and training.
  • Prepares necessary data required for revenue budgets and assist management team in preparing yearly budgets.
  • Oversees the maximization of revenues through the combined efforts of the Reservations, Sales & MICE Sales Departments.
  • Develops, monitors, and adjusts sales and pricing strategies.
  • Develops, Manages and Directs the Reservations team to achieve established revenue and rate goals and objectives.
  • Maximizes hotel room revenues through development and maintenance of standard operating procedures that will enable analysis of real-time data from managed properties.
  • Provides critical analysis of strategies, room's statistics and demand factors.
  • Conducts competitive and demand analysis.
  • Identifies strategies to increase customer base and revenues.
  • Works closely in collaboration with the Director of Sales and the Director of Marketing to build business strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
  • Ensures that all rooms’ statistics reports, including the financial statement, and any other related reports are accurate and consistent according to the Wyndham procedures and policies.
  • Attends Weekly Sales and Marketing Meeting to maintain communication of strategies and need periods.
  • Performs revenue management service for a select group of hotels. 
  • Manages all aspects of rate & inventory management as outlined in the services contract.  
  • Supervises and guides all reservations team members to perform their duties effectively with a positive sales attitude that results in maximization of revenues. Conducts regular trainings and offer quantitative information to the team.
  • Supervises any new software installations that will reduce any risks and man power of reservation.
  • Updates, Analyses and Reports on FDSA for rolling 12 months
  • Schedules and completes call around using the Market Pricing Analysis (MPA) and determine the pricing and compression compared to our competition.
  • Reviews reports and analyses for incorrect restrictions, rates of the competitive set and restrictions of the competitive set.

Minimum Experience
  • Previous experience as a Director of Revenue in the Middle East in a 5* hotel.
  • Computer Literacy , Proficient in Opera User
  • Experience in managing the Reservations Department.
  • Budgeting and strategic planning experience and problem-solving skills
  • Pre-opening previous experience in Middle East Upscale/Luxury Brand is a plus
  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate ideas in verbal and written presentations.
