Director of Sales – Wyndham Doha West Bay

The Director of Sales, reporting to the General Manager with dotted line to the Regional Senior Director of Sales, will be responsible for managing the sales team to achieve defined sales targets, assists in recruitment and development and is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
 
Job Description
  • Adhere to and administer sales policies and guidelines by representing the company in an ethical, moral and professional manner.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and quality sales presentations.
  • Adhere to company and industry best practices.
  • Effectively deliver required sales targets.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Training, evaluating, and monitoring the performance goals of direct reports.
  • Constructive involvement in daily sales meetings.
  • Participate in the weekly RevMax meetings
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and Director of Revenue with regards to strategic planning.
  • Ensure that the Sales department are held accountable and exceed their set targets
  • Produces action plan related to the revenue plan of the hotel to ensure objectives are achieved
  • Develop and design attractive offers and packages for Guests, travel agents and corporate clients
  • Reviews data with the Sales team and makes necessary adjustments to ensure performance impact is maximised.
  • Maximizes new and existing revenue sources
  • Monitor and analyse sales results
  • Ensure the Sales team maintains the hotel database system in accordance with standards
  • Organise comprehensive information to existing and potential customers with regards to the product range offered by the hotel, with the aid of the relevant sales resources and sales channels
  • Expand new customer acquisitions and manage contacts with existing Guests and key contacts.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience
 
  • The successful candidate should be strategic, proactive leader with proven track record in a similar role at a 5* Hotel and with ability to work under pressure in a high pace environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels in a multi-cultural environment is a must.
  • Arabic speaking would be advantageous.
