Job Description           

  • Supervises, coordinates and participates in the activities of the Front Desk employees such as: Rooming guests- Controlling and handling guest room keys, messages, mails, dispatching information, maintains the rooms inventories, maintains accurate guest history, registration cards file and ensures the accuracy of room rack and the alphabetical rack.
  • Ensures that the activities of all Front Desk team are performed in compliance with established Ramada Hotels procedures and standards.
  • Ensures that guest needs, inquires and complaints are properly handled and accommodated.
  • Follows up on any special matters regarding guest irregularities.
  • Checks list of arrivals for the day, takes note of VIPs and other special instructions and requests.
  • Coordinates closely with Housekeeping in the update and maintenance of room’s status option.
  • Reconciles the status report from Housekeeping and Front Office as well as keeps Assistant Front Office Manager/ Night Manager informed in case of any discrepancy.
  • Updates Housekeeping, Room Service and other affected departments through forms or telephone of all check ins and check outs, cash or advance payment registrations, rate and room changes and rooms bookings. etc.
  • Ensures the preparation of accurate reports such as the monthly and the weekly long staying guests list.
  • Ensures the adequate supply and proper usage of Front Desk supplies and equipment.
  • Performs checks on Front Desk team including field representatives to ensure proper attitude and takes corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identifies training needs of subordinates within the section.
  • Reviews the duty schedule daily and ensures that the team are on time.

Qualifications

Prior experience in the hospitality industry

1-2 years’ experience as a Front Office Shift Leader/ Team Leader/ Supervisor or similar position

Graduate of Hotel & Restaurant Management or any education

Good leadership, supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills

Accountable and resilient

Committed to delivering a high level of customer service

Ability to motivate, lead and empower the team members

Ability to work under pressure

Excellent grooming standards
