We have a unique opportunity for a Housekeeping Team Leader for Australia’s very first TRYP Hotel.
TRYP Fortitude Valley is set to be an iconic hotel that syncs guests with the pulse of the city. The hotel will be characterised by its hip, fun and youthful vibe coupled with exemplary service. Its design is a study in urban aesthetics featuring street art by world-acclaimed artists.
About the job

Joining a dynamic, vibrant and customer focussed team you will supervise the daily work of all Housekeeping staff ensuring efficient and high quality service is provided to the guests.
Reporting to the Executive Assistant Manager, you will plan, control and direct the administration and operation of Housekeeping within the hotel.
Other key aspects to the role include:
  • Ensure smooth operation of public areas
  • Conduct audits and quality checks and periodic inspections of all hotel areas
  • Responsible for recruitment, training and supervision of all staff
  • Lead, motivate and inspire the Housekeeping Team
  • Order and distribute linen, cleaning chemicals, guest supplies
  • Ensure control of consumption ensuring there is no wastage
  • Ensure all guest complaints are handled quickly and effectively; prevent from re-occurrence
About you:
  • Proven experience in a Housekeeping Manager or similar role
  • Superior attention to detail and discipline in maintaining a high standard
  • Supervisory experience with ability to effectively lead by example and motivate a team
  • Ability to provide exceptional service
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Proven quality and inventory control, rostering and maintaining costs to budget
Of importance will be your ability to handle goods and items of up to 10 kg and possess a current first aid certificate. You must be able to work at least one full weekend per month & cover all supervisor sick days.
