Intern, Legal - Franchising

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of training materials for business clients on legal topics relevant to the company – franchising, contracting, marketing, etc.
  • Research developments in state/federal/global franchise relationship laws; updating of charts/creation of summaries for operations and legal teams
  • Research of franchise marketing regulations and maintenance of library of required registration materials, form disclaimers, and review of franchise sales marketing materials with clients
  • Benchmarking of competitor franchise disclosure documents and form franchise agreements to standard WHG provisions to evaluate risk for business clients
Key Requirements
Education: Current 1st or 2nd year law student
Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent problem solving and decision making skills; ability to think strategically, critically and creatively and to analyze details for achieving objectives; ability to understand and explain risk in various scenarios.
Experience: Hospitality preferred, not required
Other: Interest in franchise and/or hospitality law
