Marketing Manager – Wyndham Doha West Bay

Marketing Manager reports directly to the General Manager with dotted line to the Regional Marketing Manager and heads up the marketing team working closely with the Director of Sales, Revenue Manager as well as the other operational Department Heads. 
Job Description
  • Lead public relations efforts on behalf of the hotel, developing and implementing PR initiatives.
  • Build relationships with local media across key segments and maintain database of journalists and other influencers
  • Develop activity schedule incorporating events, press releases and other announcements linked to key hotel events and activities
  • Manage associated online/offline agencies.
  • Develop and maintain corporate image and reputation management practices (in conjunction with regional WHG direction), including intellectual property management and crisis communications.
  • Plan and manage internal communication and awareness of corporate direction, mission aims and activities.
  • Ensure that all the departments throughout the hotel adhere to the Wyndham communication guidelines
  • Identify, develop and execute appropriate social media strategies for the hotel, in line with WHG regional and global direction.
  • Develop and execute marketing activities for the hotel in accordance with regional brand strategy and direction – including but not limited to online, offline and partnership marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare the annual marketing plan and budget for the hotel, in line with regional brand strategies and including measurable campaign objectives and targeted results.
  • Develop offline marketing activities including advertising, direct marketing and collateral/merchandising materials
  • Develop online plans and activities encompassing SEO, paid search, e-mail marketing and other digital opportunities
  • Create plans for departmental functions, notably F&B, Spa and other functions as required.
  • Ensure efficient participation in Wyndham regional and global promotional opportunities
  • Identify and deliver targeted, profitable partnerships with local consumer brands that drive guest acquisition, experience and retention.
  • Follow competitive activity and recommend appropriate responses
  • Support Wyndham Rewards acquisition and guest retention efforts on property, in conjunction with WHG regional marketing
  • Manage associated online/offline agencies.
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations to ensure aligned business planning
  • Ensure that effective communication flow is maintained at all times
  • Manage Marketing Budgets.
  • Manage activity budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of funds and accurate forecasting
  • Prepare the department expenses budget in conjunction with HOD’s.

Minimum Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years marketing and public relations experience;
  • Must possess experience working in hotels
  • Experience in managing agencies
  • Strong social media + blogger + influencer contacts locally is a plus, arabic is a plus
  • Clear communicator with solid writing and messaging skills
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership team
  • Ability to inspire confidence and gain credibility
  • Strong team player with people management skills
