Public Relation Officer (PRO) – Wyndham Doha West Bay

As a Public Relation Officer, you will be responsible for initiating, process and complete all employment visa, work permits, labor contracts (new and renewal) and other employee transactions related to the immigration and/or labor office, on the online portal and over the counter, for both internal staff and contract staff.
Job Description
  • Prepare copies of government contracts and needed documents to process needed permits.
  • Complete departure and Qatar exit formalities for employees after cancellation of visas, based on their flight departure timings.
  • Ensure compliance to government rules at all times by keeping up to date with any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws, rules, regulations, or changes in any forms or procedures and keep the Human Resources & admin Departments informed of such changes.
  • Inform employees about their medical screening and collection appointments, visa processing timelines, and respond to any visa related queries.
  • Keep accurate records and copies of associates’ passport, visa and work permit cancellation process of terminated or resigned employees and their families.
  • Liaise with Qatar Ministry of Foreign affairs,  departments and embassies for attestations notarizations and legal processes.
  • Deal with general enquires regarding PRO functions such as employee document renewal, issuance and company legal compliance
  • Provide service, support and assistance to new and existing employees on their requirements such are, visa renewal/new application, car registrations, accommodation and legal requirements to ensure that PR services are provided as required.
  • Renew, update and maintain the trade licenses and other government certificates of all company’s legal entities in Qatar and abroad to ensure that the documents are up-to-date.
  • Complete miscellaneous payments for company bills related to rent, utilities and communication authorities.
  • Apply for employee and guest visa, follow up with embassies and coordinate with the personnel officer on needed processes and facilitate any arrangements for employee personal or business travel
  • Arrange attestation of employee qualifications when required.
  • Follow up on customs, clearance and shipping arrangements as and when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of company and employee documents at all times.
  • Conduct any other activities relevant to the job or as required by management.

Minimum Requirement
  • Previous experience in a PRO role in Qatar in the hospitality industry
  • Fluent Arabic and English - written and spoken
  • Knowledge of Qatar Labor law
