The Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort offers 343 luxuriously appointed guest rooms with spectacular vistas, a beautiful and tranquil spa, waterfront dining and 22,000 square feet of flexible meeting space including the area's largest ballroom.  Our refined yet relaxed resort will connect guests through our highly-personalized and anticipatory service, while delivering memorable experiences that evoke the distinctive charm and spirit of Clearwater Beach.

 
The Restaurant Server will be responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by suggestion selling of menu items, proper timely service and follow-up.
  1. Check station to ensure all tables are set properly. Complete opening side work.
  2. Take a guest order using suggestive selling to increase customer satisfaction.
  3. Ensure that the proper course is served at the appropriate time.
  4. Check back with each table to see if everything is satisfactory.
  5. Turn orders into kitchen for preparation. Ensure food is prepared correctly before serving.
  6. Serve and replenish beverages and other accessories throughout the meal.
  7. Ensure check is correctly tabulated and present it to the guest with a pleasant Thank You. Return promptly with change and receipt having followed the proper credit or cash procedures.
  8. Clear and reset tables in the proper manner, if necessary.
  9. Complete daily side work duties assigned. Fill condiments and complete closing side work.
  10. After completing of training, maintain a check average within guidelines set by department.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

·          High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

·          Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, according to local state laws.


Physical requirements:

·          Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

·          Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

·          Ability to stand during entire shift

  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Wyndham Hotel Group Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Comply with Wyndham Hotel Group Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
