Job Description: 

SUMMARY

The position of Security Supervisor is responsible to protect and safeguard all hotel guests, employees, their belongings and all hotel assets, Under the guidance of the Security Manager assists in coordinating the Security operations of the hotel in line with Wyndham & Ramada standards to ensure maximum efficiency and guest satisfaction and promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the Ramada Hotels Group and the brand ethos.   

 

It is not the intent of this Job Description to cover all aspects of the position but to highlight the most important areas of responsibility.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Patrol all areas of the property; secure rooms; assist guests with room access.

•Conduct emergency response drills, daily physical hazard/safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and key control audit.

•Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions and alarm systems. Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas. Assist guests/employees during emergency situations.

•Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required. Gather information and complete reports.

•Maintain confidentiality of reports/documents, release information to authorized individuals.

•Defuse disturbances in accordance with company policies and procedures. Resolve safety hazard situations.

•Handle all interruptions and complaints. Escort unwelcome persons from the property.

•Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws.

•Call for assistance using proper code responses.

•Provide proper paperwork to employees.

•Assist management in training, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.

•Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.

•Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional.

•Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

•Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.

•Support team to reach common goals.

•Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

•Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.

•Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

•Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

•Speak with others using clear and professional language.

•Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.

•Supervise other Security Guards and conduct briefing for them

•Prepare duty roster and conduct departmental orientation for new employees

•Coordinate with the local police, CID if required

•Check the property on a daily basis for any damage or any incidents

•Guard entrance and exits and submit reports to the Lobby Manager daily

•Monitor designated areas on the closed CCTV

•Ensure that ‘Fire Exit’ doors are kept free of blockage at all times and ensure that fire and safety equipment’s are in their right places

•Perform all tasks consistently in line with the hotel standards and adhere to all legal and statutory requirements

•You may be asked to accomplish what is requested by the Security Manager

Qualifications
  •  Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
  • Fluent in English both verbally and written
  • Good physical condition
  •  Successfully completed A levels (high School Diploma)
  •  Computer literate. (Microsoft office)
  •  Must have completed a Leadership skills course.
  • Completed at least 3 years in a supervisory position or similar.
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • Completed a course in Basic Firefighting.
  •   Completed a course in First Aid.
  • Physically fit, Deals with Uncertainty, Judgment, Objectivity, Dependability, Emotional Control, Integrity, Safety Management, Professionalism, and Reporting Skills.
