Security Supervisor - Wyndham Doha West Bay

The Security Supervisor will be reporting to the security Manager and responsible for the safety and security of all guests, associates, visitors and contractors in the hotel. He / she will maintain the safety and security in the hotel premises and oversees the security team. 
  • Maintains all documents and key systems in the department
  • Recommends improvements in surveillance, security and fire systems.
  • Reviews, quickly and thoroughly any incidents with the intention of preventing re-occurrences
  • With the assistance of the Security Manager, trains and supervises the security team
  • Organizes the work schedules and ensures that all policies are followed
  • Conducts regular briefings with the security team
  • Reports any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries within the hotel.
  • Assists the HR team in the case of investigation within the associates
  • Escorts unwelcome visitors in a professional manners.
  • Constant vigilance of hotel operations and premises
  • Ensures the overall safety and security of the hotel guests,  staffs and hotel premises
  • Acts as a member of the emergency response team, in case of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance.
  • Conducts departmental key control audits and maintain key control records
  • Maintain computer records of all actions in a daily activity report
  • Assists guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Monitors the arrival and departure of visitors and contractors/suppliers
  • Controls access and parking within the hotel
  • Answers of telephone calls to the security desk in a polite and helpful manner.
  • Manages all lost property handed in and undertaking to return it to its rightful owner whenever possible.
  • Monitors the CCTV system  accordingly
  • Willing to work in a multi-cultural environment. 
  • Maintaining a business environment based on the Code of Conduct and Company Vision
  • Maintain and enhance the open door policy to all associates providing advice and guidance when needed in regards to their issues or concerns and/or grievances
  • Assist the Security Manager in handling People leadership of direct reports in your team (recruitment and selection, performance management (Appraisal/PDP), associate development and motivation, counselling / disciplinary issues.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions/1:1s with direct reports. 
Human Resources
  • Ensure that the hotels are fully compliant with Wyndham people processes and deadlines that govern all Wyndham properties. E.g. AES, Success Matters, Probation reviews etc.
  • Ensure that the administration of the probation review process in the operational departments and ensure that follow-up for all issues is done in timely manner and results of both follow-up and the initial reviews are communicated to all relevant parties
  • Talent Reviews taken place as per the communicated timeline and are live in the business
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all mandatory training for departments; as well as the Departmental Trainers are positively encouraged
  • Assist the Security Manager in controlling the LTO, Absence and Payroll in your department in conjunction with the HR Leader on property to ensure that any areas of concern and monitored and rectified to meet the HR BSC Targets.
  • Ensure that you dine in the Associate restaurant at least three times a week and provide HR Leader on property feedback
  • Support WYNcom with quarterly People, Community and Sustainability engagement events. 
  • To conduct or chair regular communication meetings with team(s) and actively participate in relevant business meetings to facilitate effective communication.
  • Conducted documented 121’s with all direct reports
  • Share all relevant information with Security Manager & HR in 121’s. 
  • Plan and track departmental holidays and lieu days as per the needs of the business.

  • A minimum of two years in a similar role in a branded hotel
  • Computer literate
  • Degree/Diploma in a related discipline preferred
