Position: Spa & Salon Therapist / Beautician

Department: Spa & Recreation

Level: 03

Reports to: Spa Supervisor






Scope and General Purpose of Job:


To ensure the highest standard of service is given to members and guests at all times. All members and guests receive safe, effective and enjoyable treatments and therapies. 

All work will be in line with the hotel’s business plan and in accordance with Wyndham corporate policies and procedures, as well as local requirements and regulations.


Main Duties:



·         To perform massage and beauty  services in a professional and competent manner to all members and clients

·         To ensure the massage and treatment rooms are kept clean and in good repair at all times, reporting any required repairs to maintenance department and actively follow up that repairs are carried out speedily and to the required standard.

·         To be aware of all the latest massage techniques, beauty treatments and products, advising Spa Supervisor of any improvements to services required.

·         To provide related services such as manicure, pedicure and facials

·         To be aware of all scheduled treatments on a daily basis and ensure they are carried out at the required times.

·         To provide feedback to Spa Supervisor on guest comments and requirements to ensure she is updated on all relevant issues

·         To be fully aware of the machinery and functions of gym and reception operation in order to assist guests whenever required or requested by immediate supervisor.

·         To be fully aware of all Spa services and charges.    

·    In conjunction with the Spa Supervisor, suggest and develop special promotions to increase beauty /  massage treatments and enhance revenues.

·         Ensure that all guests follow the rules and regulations as per departmental guidelines.

·         In conjunction with the Spa Supervisor, participate in regular safety training. All associates must be trained and be confident in CPR, First Aid and understand the emergency procedures.

·         Be easily accessible to members, Hotel guests and outside clients..


Laws, Regulations & Policies:


·         Ensure compliance with business operations laws

·         Ensure compliance with hospitality operations laws

·         Ensure compliance to all applicable laws, and corporate standards and guidelines


Associate Relations


·         Fosters and develops effective associate relations throughout the hotel


Health & Safety


·         Ensures that all potential and real hazards are reduced immediately

·         Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency and bomb procedures

·      Ensures that emergency procedures are practiced  to provide for the security and safety of guests and     associates

·         Anticipates possible and probable hazards and conditions and corrects them or take action to prevent them from happening

·         Ensures that the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniforms and appearance




·         Attends meetings and trainings required by the Department Head or Hotel Management.

·         Attends meetings and training as required.

·       Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve the hotel’s efficient operation and knowledge of own job function.

·         Ensures all requests and correspondence (e.g. from Department Head) are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.

·         Attends any property meetings that are relevant to the position.

·         Is knowledgeable about corporate loyalty / Incentive Programmes.

·         Assists colleagues to perform similar or related jobs when necessary.

·         Ensures guest satisfaction by attending to their requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently.

·    Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests and the hotel’s stakeholders.

·         Maintains own working area, materials and company property clean, tidy and in good shape.

·         Embraces the core values of Wyndham Hotels and is seen as a brand ambassador of WHG

·        Is well updated on, and possesses solid knowledge of the following:

Hotel fire, bomb and emergency procedures

Hotel health and safety policies and procedures

Wyndham Hotels standards of operation and departmental procedures 

Current licensing relating to own responsibility, and to the hotel 

Accepted methods of payment by the hotel

Corporate clients generating high business volume




·         Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role within the Hospitality Industry. Must have  practical knowledge of body therapy and treatments, as well as facial / beauty treatment, hair, manicure and pedicure.
