I joined Wyndham Worldwide in 2014 as Manager of Audit Services within Wyndham Hotel Group. I am primarily responsible for leading the audit team in effectively executing revenue audits of Wyndham’s franchised hotel properties. The scope of my role includes driving revenue for the business by verifying the accuracy of room revenue reported by franchisees, managing internal audit team reporting shared with senior leaders, and coordinating with the Brand Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to address significant audit findings and identify sufficient resolutions that add value to the overall franchise standards, operations, and procedures. Recently, my role has also expanded some to conducting an internal audit at one of Wyndham’s managed hotel properties.
During the day you can find me reviewing audit workpapers prepared by my team, preparing weekly and monthly reporting of audit results, interacting with franchise owners, and addressing any audit related matters that comes up. Additionally, I am continuously reviewing the overall audit process and procedures to ensure the team’s audit methodologies are efficient and effective for the company. What I am so impressed by here at Wyndham is how involved the Senior Leadership team is in ensuring that all associates feel appreciated and valued. From the numerous campus events, to the weekly communications – I feel as though I am contributing to the business on a daily basis and that my hard work is acknowledged.
