As Senior Director of Risk Management & Insurance, Michael is responsible for leading the risk transfer and claims management programs across Wyndham globally. In addition to this work, he is responsible for leading initiatives to help improve the organization’s guest experience related to insurable perils. Furthermore, as a co-pilot to senior leadership within the organization on Risk Management issues, Michael identifies new trends in both the hospitality and insurance industries to help implement innovative solutions as well as highlighting opportunities to better manage the total cost of risk (TCOR) for their respective businesses.
Michael served in the Army National Guard for 6 years and is a Veteran who supported numerous post 9/11 homeland defense operations in New Jersey and Manhattan. As a National Guardsman his primarily role was a Fire Support Specialist providing artillery and close air support to both mechanized infantry and armor divisions. Levering the on-the-job experience, training and education gained through the military, Michael graduated from William Paterson University of New Jersey where he earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and later an MBA from Centenary College. He is also a Certified Risk Manager and a member of the American Legion.
